The following Master Plan was created in 1998, but is scheduled to be re-designed with citizen input before the park is built. This park will be a premier place for families of all sizes and ages to come together and enjoy the outdoors.

- Numerous multi-use sports fields for soccer, football, field hockey
- 7 Tennis courts
- 4 Basketball courts
- 3 Volleyball courts
- 1 Roller hockey area
- Multiply picnic area's both covered & uncovered
- Family park area
- Community Center
- Multiple playgrounds
- Pedestrian/walking access from adjoining neighborhoods to the North & East
- 6 Baseball fields (combined use)
- Designated lawn games area
- Environmental Education area
- Plentiful walking trails
- Vehicle access from Route 17 to thr West & through neighborhood access from Northwest
- Ample parking
- Several water features
Suggested additions / changes being considered:
- Skate board area
- BMX area
- Horse Trails with interconnect to The Dismal Swamp Canal Trails further to the South
- Dog Park
New area Police Precinct to be added in the 5 Acre Outparcel on the Western park boundary with RT17
