WHERE'S THE PARK?

Calendar of Events
As a community, we need to attend EVERY City Council Meeting, Budget Meeting, Town Meeting and use every chance we can to remind not only the City Council but also the City Manager that we want this park to be funded.  Let's make sure we have someone at EVERY City Council Meeting & be sure to wear your WHERE'S THE PARK? t-shirt!

City Staff is currently working on details of the 2009-2010 budget.  It is imperative that you do not delay in letting City Council know that you support the Deep Creek Park project. If we wait too long to make our voices heard it may be too late!

Upcoming Schedule of Events

Date Time Event
Second, Third & Fourth Tuesday of every month 6:30 PM Regular City Council Meetings.
In the Council chamber on the first floor of City Hall.
Please attend and register to speak about Deep Creek Park. Every Council member is familiar with the project. You do not have to make a major speech on the topic. Council members fully understand that it is difficult for citizens to take time out of their day and rush around after work in an effort to make it to a council meeting. They place a heavy emphasis on comments from citizens that make the time to attend meetings and be involved in the community. This is the single most important action that anyone can take! It is your City! It is your tax money! They are your representatives! They want to know how you feel about the issues!
First Thursday of every month 6:00 PM Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meetings.
This is a direct link to City Council. Please attend and let the members know you support the park! Citizen comments are taken very seriously! The meetings rotate among the community centers in the city. Please call Parks & Rec. at 382-6411 to find out which community center is hosting the next meeting. It might be in your neighborhood!
